🎄The Holidays are Happening   in Ocean Beach 🎄

Each year, the Ocean Beach Town Council proudly presents a series of holiday events and initiatives aimed at bringing joy to the holiday season in our beach town. The Holiday Tree, Auction, Parade, and Food & Toy Drive are steeped in a rich history that began over 40 years ago.Striking the balance of health and safety while maintaining our passion to bring holiday joy to OB has not been an easy challenge to overcome, especially in the midst of the ever-changing dynamic of the global pandemic. Fundraising challenges, brand new event guidelines from the County and City, and the inability for our volunteer board of directors to meet in person, have made it especially difficult.However - we are dedicated to finishing out 2020 with the holiday spirit that OB is famous for.Our work is simply impossible without the generous gifts of time and financial support from our community. We received an incredible gift from the Yeng Family and Skrewball Whiskey's "Skrew It Forward Campaign" to match, dollar for dollar, all donations to The Holidays are Happening campaign, up to $10,000. Funds raised through this campaign will offset the cost of all of our holiday initiatives. If you're able, we invite you to give here:

The financial, social, and emotional impacts of 2020 have affected each of us differently. If you would like to enter a display in the parade - recipients of this email have a special deadline extension until Sunday, November 29 to enter your application.

We need volunteers to make sure the event runs smooth and that everyone is safe.If you are available on December 5th and are willing to help - we need you!
