Point Loma High School Centennial Celebration – Cheers to 100 Years!

The Point Loma High School Centennial Celebration Committee is excited to announce that Point Loma High is celebrating 100 years of Pointer Pride in 2025! For a century, PLHS has been a beacon of academic excellence for the Point Loma community and beyond. To mark this incredible milestone, Point Loma High will host a memorable evening event, Cheers to 100 Years, on September 13, 2025, at the Port Pavilion.

This special celebration will honor the many individuals who have contributed to the education and inspiration of PLHS students over the years. As we celebrate the school’s century-long legacy, we aim to raise $150,000 to support the next generation of students.

The funds raised will benefit three key areas: Academics, Arts, and Athletics—all of which are crucial to providing students with a well-rounded, enriching education.

OBCF Candidate Forum - Mark Your Calendar for April 17

Get ready for the OBCF Quarterly Community Forum on Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 PM (new day, new time!) at OB Elementary (new location!). Join us for an informative evening with updates from key community leaders, and an exciting opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for a seat on the OBCF Board of Directors.

After the forum, the voting period will open from April 17 through April 27. All OBCF members will receive a ballot via email to cast their votes. Not a member yet? Sign up today to ensure you can participate in this important election!

The 2024 holiday, season of events was such a huge success. Thank you to countless community members, businesses, partner organizations, and volunteers for getting involved. Now, it’s your turn to shape the 2025 Holiday Season by submitting theme suggestions.

Previous themes include: Hippie Holiday Hoedown (2024), Santa's Disco Luau (2023), Jingle All the Waves (2022), Rocking around the OB Holiday Tree (2021), Home for the Holidays (2020), Miracle on Newport Ave (2019), It's a Wonderful Life, in Ocean Beach (2018), The Year of the Pier with Holiday Cheer (2016), just to name a few.
