Dear Neighbors,As we dive into the second year of our revitalized committees, we're excited to have you join us on this journey to shape the future of Ocean Beach! Building on the success of our first year, we're eager to bring even more community members like you into leadership roles. By working together, we can drive meaningful change and continue to make Ocean Beach a great place to live, work, and play – for everyone.

To help you find the perfect fit, we're hosting a Committee Interest Night at Wonderland on Monday, March 20th at 6:30pm. Come meet fellow OBceans and OBTC Board Members, chat about the committees, and learn how you can get involved.

Here’s a quick rundown on our committees :

EVENTS: Plan and run awesome community events like the Pier Pancake Breakfast, Holiday Parade, and Holiday Food & Toy Drive.

ENGAGEMENT: Connect OBceans to community opportunities and find new ways to get people involved.

ADVOCACY: Speak up for our community with elected officials and organizations, addressing key issues that matter to us.

IMPROVEMENT: Beautify and enhance OB to create a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for everyone.

Joining a committee means committing to a one-year term ending in March 2024. Committees meet once a month, and you might be involved in some extra activities depending on your chosen committee.

Ready to jump in? Apply for a committee position at obtc.link/apply by April 3, 2023, at midnight.

We know that together, we can make a real difference in our neighborhood. So, don't miss this opportunity to join us and shape the future of Ocean Beach!

We can't wait to see you at the Committee Interest Night at Wonderland on Monday, March 20th.

See you soon around OB,

Corey BruinsOBTC President

Don't miss the upcoming Dog Safety presentation at our March 22nd Town Council meeting! Elkie Wills, Senior Director of Community Engagement at San Diego Humane Society, will join us along with a Community Training Program Trainer and a Humane Law Officer to share valuable insights on dog behavior, staying safe around aggressive dogs, and what to do if you're bitten. April is Dog Bite Safety Month, and our meeting is just in time for Dog Bite Prevention Week (April 9-15). We look forward to seeing you there!
