Keep the OB Holiday Spirit Shining This Giving Tuesday!
Support OB's time-honored holiday events!
This Giving Tuesday, let’s come together to keep the spirit of Ocean Beach alive by supporting our cherished annual traditions!
The iconic crooked holiday tree 🎄will be cut, transported, and arrive on the beach this Tuesday!
🌟 Mark your calendars—the lighting ceremony will kick off the Hippie Holiday Hoedown Parade on Thursday, December 7, at 5:05 PM.
But here’s the thing: these magical events don’t happen on their own.
Did you know it costs over $30,000 to bring the OB Holiday Parade to life?
The tree itself, generously donated by a community member, requires $4,000 in professional services to safely cut, crane-lift, transport, and decorate. Add in 500+ hours of planning, 15 service providers, and nearly 100 volunteers, and you’ll see why every bit of support matters. I’ve been attending the OB Holiday Parade for 17 years, but I never realized the time, energy, and funding required to make it happen until I joined the board. This year, I’m donating $5 for every year I’ve enjoyed the parade. No contribution is too small—when we come together as a community, we create something truly special.
