The Ocean Beach Town Council (OBTC) is dedicated to the care and improvement of our beautiful coastal community. For over 40 years, our quaint little surfing village of Ocean Beach has hosted one of the best holiday parades in SoCal. Several holiday events are tied to one another including Taste of OB on November 14, 2023, Holiday Parade on December 2, 2023, Holiday Auction and Party on December 7, 2023 and the Holiday Food & Toy Drive, on December 11-16, 2023.

The 2023 Holiday Food & Toy Drive helped 75 local families, which included 157 children, and an additional 68 seniors in the OB & Point Loma peninsula community. Community donations help fill the gaps when in-kind donations don’t fully meeting the needs presented. In 2023, we’ve used financial donations to:

• Purchase gift cards and additional toys for teens, one of the age groups that typically receives the least donated toys each year.

• Extra gifts for seniors who were submitted for this year, our largest number of seniors ever.

• Purchase holiday staple foods for seniors and families.

• Parade permits and production are partially covered by financial donations and sponsorships (as well as parade float applicants).

• Support the cutting, transportation, and to decorate the iconic crooked tree at the end of Newport Avenue during the month of December.

Our annual slate of events was a huge success thanks to financial donors like you. Thank you for your continued support of the Ocean Beach Town Council.
